Tarleton State University professor Dr. Marcy Tanter has been selected a Fulbright Scholar to South Korea, where she’ll teach the works of Emily Dickinson and other American women poets at Dongguk University in 2018.

Dr. Shannon Hankhouse named director of Tarleton-Waco at MCC

Dr. Shannon Hankhouse has been named director of Tarleton State University’s Waco outreach center on the campus of McLennan Community College. An assistant professor of criminal justice, she joined Tarleton in 2004.

Tarleton State University adds new degree programs at Fort Worth, Waco

The Texas High Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has approved new degree programs for Tarleton State University’s outreach centers in Fort Worth and Waco.

Tarleton receives $2.1 million grant from U.S. Department of Education

Thanks to a $2.1 million Upward Bound grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Tarleton State University will continue to assist 95 potential first-generation college students from high schools in Stephenville, Comanche, De Leon, Dublin, Huckabay, Iredell, Gustine and Lingleville.

State budget bill could provide Tarleton with a $4 million funding increase

An appropriations bill sent by the Texas Legislature to Gov. Greg Abbott over the weekend could provide a net operating general revenue increase of just more than $4 million for Tarleton State University and $10 million to replace storm-damaged buildings at the school’s agricultural center.
