Nominations are open for the Last Lecture series at Tarleton State University through Oct. 31. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and the public are encouraged to submit nominees.
If you had a final opportunity to impart wisdom from your life experiences, what would you say? That is the question Tarleton State’s Last Lecture speakers are asked to answer. The series invites a university affiliate to reflect on the personal and professional experiences that have shaped their life and share the lessons, insights and wisdom they would want to leave with others.
Speakers must have at least 10 years of experience with Tarleton State as a current or retired faculty or staff member, a current or former student, or any combination of those roles.
The Last Lecture has become a Tarleton State tradition since Dr. Chris Guthrie’s inaugural lecture in 2014. Since then, the university has welcomed speakers Dr. Subi Gandhi, Dr. Amber Harris Bozer, Dr. Wendell Sadler, Dr. Reggie Hall, Dr. David Frazier, Dr. Casey Thompson, Dr. Rudy Tarpley, Dr. Jim Gentry and Dr. Jim Kirby.
