STEPHENVILLE, Texas — For the third straight summer, Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for the Industrial History of Texas is participating in the Blue Star Museum program, offering free admission to active and retired military members and their families.
The program kicks off Saturday, May 26, the first day of the Memorial Day weekend, and runs through Labor Day.
Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums across America.
The W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas, a Tarleton museum and research facility located in the historic ghost town of Thurber, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The center is located at Exit 367 on Interstate 20 between Fort Worth and Abilene.
