STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Supporters of the Tarleton State University family are encouraged to donate to what they care about most during the seventh annual Tarleton Giving Day on Tuesday, April 12.
“Tarleton Giving Day is one of the most exciting days of the year at Tarleton,” said Shad Hanselman, AVP for Engagement and Advancement Services. “It’s a day when Tarleton Texans from across the state and around the world show their support of the amazing things happening at Tarleton and the fantastic opportunities Tarleton creates for our students.”
Alumni, faculty, staff and friends may give to a favorite Tarleton academic program, student activity or scholarship at https://givingday.tarleton.edu.
Donations can be made online from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Administration Building, or dropped off at Tarleton’s outreach locations in Fort Worth, Midlothian and Waco.
Tarleton President Dr. James and First Lady Kindall Hurley will donate $5,000 to the academic college or division that raises the most dollars, $3,000 to the second-place organization and $2,000 to third place.
The Tarleton State University Foundation, like the Hurleys, will donate $10,000, divided between the three academic colleges or divisions with the most donors.
“One of the best parts about Tarleton Giving Day is that every gift, no matter what the size, has the power to make an impact on our students, our university and our community,” Hanselman said. “Tarleton is truly blessed with so many loyal supporters, and I’m excited to see how many more come out to help us succeed during Tarleton Giving Day 2022.”
More than 740 donors gave more than $300,000 for university colleges and programs during Giving Day 2021.
A founding member of The Texas A&M System, Tarleton State University is breaking records — in enrollment, research, scholarship, athletics, philanthropy and engagement — while transforming the lives of approximately 18,000 students in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Bryan and online.
