STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s morning commencement celebration Friday, Dec. 11, at Memorial Stadium on the Stephenville campus has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. due to a 70 percent chance of rain.
Originally set for 10 a.m., the ceremony will honor students graduating from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the College of Business, and the College of Health Sciences and Human Studies. A 3 p.m. celebration is set for the College of Graduate Studies.
Any further changes will be announced through the university’s social media.
A 10 a.m. ceremony Saturday, Dec. 12, will honor students graduating from the College of Education, the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, and the College of Science and Technology. No rain is forecast.
The university will adhere to physical distancing protocols, with face coverings required at all in-person ceremonies. Graduates and their guests should bring their own face coverings.
In accordance with CDC guidance, all graduates and guests should monitor their daily health and check their temperature before coming to the campus. Graduates or guests with COVID-19 symptoms should watch the ceremony via live-stream at www.tarleton.edu/graduation.
Those considered high risk also should watch online.
