Tarleton’s Family Weekend Begins Friday

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Two days jam-packed with activities, including two ring ceremonies, a carnival and sports action, highlight this year’s annual Family Weekend at Tarleton State University, March 5-6.

The first ring ceremony, presented by the Tarleton Alumni Association, begins the activities at 11 a.m. Friday. The day culminates in the 7 p.m. Western Athletic Conference women’s basketball game between Tarleton and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

The weekend builds toward Saturday’s tailgate on the Memorial Stadium parking lot followed by the 2 p.m. football clash between the Texans and Mississippi College.

Also on Saturday’s agenda are Breakfast with the President, a craft fair, music, movie screening, a second women’s basketball matchup between the Texans and UTRGV and to cap the evening mentalist/magician Nash Fung.

Current CDC and Texas A&M University System COVID-19 guidelines will be observed at all activities.
