STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University’s saddle bronc riders scored high and moved up in the standings in Wednesday evening’s performance of the 69th annual College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyo.

Brody Cress racked up a 77 score in his third-round ride to move into a second-place tie in the event. His 153.5 tally pulled him even with Panhandle State rider Jake Finlay, and almost assures him of an appearance in Saturday’s final. Teammate Jace Lane eased into eighth place with a 67.5 ride Wednesday.

Tarleton’s Kody Lamb, a five-time CNFR qualifier, makes his bid for the finals in bareback riding with his third-round effort tonight. Likewise, Baili Collins tries for Saturday’s short-go in goat-tying.

Complete results and schedules are available at www.cnfr.com and rodeo performances are televised on ESPN3.
