STEPHENVILLE, Texas—The new Texan Rider spirit logo for Tarleton State University is now appearing on large drink cups at regional Allsup’s Convenience Store locations.

Featuring the new mark in white on purple, the 30 oz. cups are available, with an initial free fountain drink, at the four Stephenville locations, in Dublin, DeLeon and two stores in Comanche. Allsup’s has produced a total of 50,000 cups for distribution and has set up special racks to promote the cups, displaying the Tarleton spirit logo.

The new Texan Rider debuted in January, refreshing a Texan Rider mark in use since the 1960s. Designed by Rickabaugh Graphics, the mark features a rider on a rearing horse with raised hat in hand and the Tarleton block T on the saddle blanket.

The new mark also appears on a variety of merchandise available at the Tarleton Bookstore in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center, Barefoot Outfitters on Washington Street and other retail outlets in Stephenville.

Allsup’s, a family enterprise founded and still owned by Lonnie and Barbara Allsup, has more than 300 stores and 3,000 employees.
