WACO, Texas — Tarleton State University will celebrate its 25-year partnership with McLennan Community College (MCC) University Center in Waco on Wednesday, Oct. 14, with an anniversary ceremony recognizing the university’s history, growth, partnerships and impact across the region.
The celebration will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. in the MCC MAC Foyer and Commons at Tarleton State Waco and will bring together university leadership, faculty, staff, students, alumni, community partners and invited guests to commemorate the milestone.
The event will highlight Tarleton State’s continued commitment to expanding access to higher education and serving students throughout Waco and Central Texas. Over the past 25 years, the university has built strong partnerships and created opportunities for students to pursue their educational and professional goals closer to home.
“Reaching 25 years in Waco is an important milestone for Tarleton State and a reflection of the strong relationships we have built throughout this community,” said Dr. Rachael Capua, Vice President for External Operations. “We are proud of the students, faculty, staff and alumni who have been part of our story and grateful to the partners who continue to support our mission and help us serve the region.”
As Tarleton State Waco looks toward the future, the university remains focused on strengthening educational pathways, supporting workforce needs and providing students with opportunities to earn a high-quality Tarleton State education.
