STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s Study Abroad program encourages students to begin your journey with an information expo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the ballrooms of the Thompson Student Center on the Stephenville campus.

The annual Study Abroad Fair is for students interested in participating in one of the university’s international opportunities available in places all over the world, including Belize, Ecuador, Columbia, England, Ireland, Italy, Greece, South Korea and Nepal.

Fairgoers can meet with faculty-led program directors, program providers and former participants, and get information on financial aid.

Winners of the Study Abroad Photo Contest, accepting entries through Friday, Sept. 21, will be announced at the fair.

More than 300 Tarleton students in 30 academic programs have traveled to more than 27 countries as part of the university’s Study Abroad program. Opportunities include faculty-led programs, graduate research abroad, internships, credit-transfer through international partners, and fall/spring semester exchanges. Short-term programs — some are field experiences related to on-campus courses — take place during winter and spring breaks, May mini-semester and summer.
