STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University Jazz Ensembles II and III will be in concert Sunday, Nov. 21, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, all general admission, are $5, or free with a Tarleton ID.
Thomas Burchill directs Jazz Ensemble II, which was created to introduce beginners to jazz. The music ranges from educational to professional charts, with some students joining on a secondary instrument.
Jazz Ensemble III, directed by Wade Girton, will play compositions by Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk. The concert also will feature arrangements done collaboratively/by ear by the ensemble musicians.
