STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The education company EAB has named Tarleton State University’s Jessica Bucher as a winner of its Student Success Collaborative – Excellence in Technology Administration Award.
Bucher is an IT specialist in the Student Learning and Retention Department. This award recognizes her dedication to improving technology configurations, best practices and student success using EAB technology.
EAB has recognized outstanding achievements in student success for eight years. Awardees are chosen from among the colleges, universities and individuals that use Navigate, EAB’s student success management system, or Starfish, a platform EAB acquired earlier this year.
“Students, faculty and campus staff are still learning how to access and deliver the right combination of online and in-person support services that are critical to student success,” said EAB President of Technology Scott Schirmeier. “The winners of EAB’s 2021 Student Success Collaborative Awards have gone above and beyond in their mission to keep students on track to graduate at a time when the pandemic has completely upended the traditional student support model.”
Awards were presented Nov. 5 at CONNECTED21, a three-day virtual gathering of student success leaders from community colleges and four-year colleges and universities.
A founding member of The Texas A&M System, Tarleton State University is breaking records — in enrollment, research, scholarship, athletics, philanthropy and engagement — while transforming the lives of approximately 18,000 students in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Bryan and online. For 125 years, Tarleton State has been committed to accessible higher education opportunities for all while helping students grow academically, socially and professionally through programs that emphasize real world learning and address regional, state and national needs.
