STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University head basketball coach Lonn Reisman was named the HoopDirt.com Division II National Coach of the Week after recording his 650th career win.

Reisman is now eligible to receive the HoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year Award presented by Just Play Solutions, which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2017-18 college basketball season.

Reisman’s Texans took down Angelo State, 66-59, on Saturday for the milestone victory. In his 30th year as head coach of the Texans, Reisman is the winningest active NCAA coach in Texas, and became the fifth active NCAA Division II head coach to reach the 650-win mark. He is also 11th all-time in NCAA Division II coaching victories.

Tarleton is 15-9 overall and 10-5 in the Lone Star Conference. The Texans host Texas A&M-Commerce at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, in Wisdom Gym.
