STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University will celebrate spring 2023 graduates with commencement ceremonies May 12 and 13 at Memorial Stadium on the Stephenville campus.
Tarleton President James Hurley will preside over three ceremonies, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, when longtime Tarleton benefactor Sam Pack will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters.
Pack, owner and operator of Pack Automotive Group, has given liberally to Tarleton, donating to the university’s food pantry, the President’s Circle and the Dr. James and Kindall Hurley Scholarship Endowment. Then there’s the Tarleton State University Pack Automotive Group Intern Program, providing Texans with learning opportunities that inspire career success.
All ceremonies will include both graduate and undergraduate students.

6 p.m. — Mayfield College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, College of Science and Mathematics
Saturday, May 13
9 a.m. — College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Education
