Tarleton Choirs to Present Spring Concert April 21

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The Tarleton Choral Program will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Theater. All of the choirs will perform — the Chamber Choir, Texan Riders, Texan Harmony and the Troubadours.

Tickets are $5 or free with Tarleton ID.

This academic year the choirs’ focus has been on music of America and the British Isles in preparation for a visit from English composer Bob Chilcott and a trip to England in June.

The spring concert audience will be treated to favorites like “I Will” by the Beatles and “Danny Boy” plus tunes such as the Irish ballad “Fergus and Molly” and the American folk song “Calling My Children Home.”

A founding member of The Texas A&M System, Tarleton State University is breaking records — in enrollment, research, scholarship, athletics, philanthropy and engagement — while transforming the lives of approximately 18,000 students in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Bryan and online.
