STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Texan Spirit Week is getting closer and even more events have been added.
The four-day celebration, a reimagining of the annual Homecoming festivities, begins Sunday, Oct. 11, with the 7:30 p.m. Lighting of the Smokestack and announcement of the spring 2021 Homecoming Court. The king and queen will be crowned during spring Homecoming activities.

Wednesday events are highlighted by Midnight S’mores hosted by Tarleton President James and First Lady Kindall Hurley at the Trogdon House in Stephenville.
Fort Worth will host its own Purple Out Picnic, and Purple-Palooza Gear Giveaways are all slated for Monday, Oct. 12, in Waco and Midlothian.
