Supporters of the Tarleton State University family are encouraged to donate to what they care about most during the seventh annual Tarleton Giving Day on Tuesday, April 12.
Nearly two dozen youngsters spent Friday afternoon giggling and catching largemouth bass with the help of Tarleton Bass Club members during their annual Fishing for Foster’s outing.
Almost 150 donors kicked off the holiday season Tuesday with gifts supporting Tarleton State University students. In total, donors gave $164,173 to colleges, scholarships and student programs and activities, shattering last year’s mark of just over $26,000.
Tarleton State University’s Bass Club completed their 2018 tournament appearance campaign among the Top 20 collegiate fishing teams in the nation, earning the No. 15 spot on the annual Cabela’s School of the Year rankings and finishing as the second-highest team in Texas.
Preliminary numbers are in and the count continues for Tarleton State University’s third Giving Day, with more than $380,000 raised to pay it forward for students.
