Dr. Laura Boren, Tarleton State University’s vice president of Student Affairs, has been selected lone finalist for a similar position at Georgia Southwestern State University, effective July 1.
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Approximately 1,250 FFA members and agricultural science instructors from across the state will gather on the campus of Tarleton State University Thursday, April 26, to compete for the chance to represent the Texas FFA Association in National FFA Career Development Events (CDE).

STEPEHNVILLE, Texas — The audited numbers are in, and Tarleton State University’s third Giving Day raised $395,780 to pay it forward for students. That’s impressive considering this year’s gifts exceed the 2017 total by more than $170,000.
Dr. Chris Shao has been appointed dean of Tarleton State University’s College of Business Administration, effective June 1. Currently associate dean for the college, he succeeds Dr. Steve Steed, who’s retiring.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — As part of Tarleton State University’s annual Giving Day, the school’s Centennial Committee this morning presented a $1,200 donation toward the Earl Rudder Scholarship to benefit kinesiology students.
During the early 20th century, Daniel B. McMillin moved his family of eight to a farm in Erath County just so his six children could attend college at Tarleton. When his middle daughter, Glynda, graduated from high school in 1930, McMillin went to the bank and borrowed $100 to fund her two years at Tarleton, where she studied home economics.
