Meador family endows second scholarship in honor of Daniel B. McMillin

During the early 20th century, Daniel B. McMillin moved his family of eight to a farm in Erath County just so his six children could attend college at Tarleton. When his middle daughter, Glynda, graduated from high school in 1930, McMillin went to the bank and borrowed $100 to fund her two years at Tarleton, where she studied home economics.

Family donates to scholarship honoring long-time Tarleton professor

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — As part of Tarleton State University’s annual Giving Day, the children of Dr. Michael McLatchy today donated $8,000 toward the scholarship bearing his name.

Tarleton names new associate vice president for academic administration

Dr. Mark Morvant joins Tarleton State University as associate vice president for academic administration, effective July 9. Currently associate provost at the University of Oklahoma, he succeeds Dr. Dwayne Snider, who’s retiring.
