STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Support Tarleton State University students tomorrow as part of Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that begins the holiday season.

“Making a donation is easy,” said Development Director Jennifer Hawthorne. “You can give from any computer or mobile device. Every gift, regardless of size, will help today’s students become tomorrow’s great leaders.”

To donate to a Tarleton college, outreach location, scholarship, or university activity or program, go to www.tarleton.edu/givingday between 12:01 a.m. and 11:50 p.m. tomorrow and follow the simple instructions.

“This is an opportunity for alumni, faculty and staff, parents, students and friends of the university to make a gift that supports Tarleton’s students,” Hawthorne said. “Whether you choose to give to academics, athletics, scholarships or a student-focused program, you will make a difference.”

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the United States) and Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many people focus on holiday and end-of-year giving.

Since 2012, Giving Tuesday has grown significantly and now is celebrated throughout the world. Each year, more organizations join this cause to promote giving amidst the consumerism of the holidays.
