Oct. 18 Concert to Feature Tarleton State Choirs 

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s choirs will present “The Times, They Are a’ Changin’” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Theater.

Featured ensembles include the Chamber Choir, Texan Harmony, Texan Riders and the Texan Troubadours. Visiting Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano, Dr. Sarah Thune, will also perform.

The performance will feature choral selections from American gospel, spirituals, hymnody and pop. Some performances include Bob Dylan’s timeless “The Times, They Are a’ Changin’,” Rosephanye Powell’s lively Gospel tune “Still I Rise,” Alice Parker’s setting of the spiritual “My God Is a Rock” and two new pieces composed by Tarleton State Director of Choirs Dr. Troy Robertson.
