STEPHENVILLE, Texas — History Happy Hour is back at Tarleton State University’s W. K. Gordon Museum and Research Center in Thurber.
Visit the museum and sample some of the Amber Dragon’s best mead at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 while learning more about the history of Thurber, Texas. While visiting the museum speak with the owners of Amber Dragon Meadery and learn more about how mead is made. Tickets are $20, and the glass goes home with you.
Mead, also known as honey wine, dates to antiquity and, like wine, has circled the globe. Texas has a dozen meaderies, however, there are only a few in short driving distance of Stephenville.
Tickets to the event can be purchased at https://tarletonstate.us/historyhappyhour.
