Tarleton State University has joined forces with the international organization GivingTuesday in declaring May 5 a day of grass roots philanthropy in response to covid-19.
Tarleton State University’s annual Silver Taps ceremony was scheduled for April 16.
The formal event, held each spring, honors faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends who died the previous year. It is a cooperative effort of the Texan Corps of Cadets, Tarleton Ambassadors, Division of Institutional Advancement and Tarleton Alumni Association.
A pair of iconic organizations, each with a legacy encompassing more than a century of Texas history, have joined forces. The 109-year-old Texas Folklore Society is partnering with Tarleton State University and will move its offices to the Dora Langdon Center in Granbury.
