STEPHENVILLE, Texas— Early this afternoon Tarleton State University issued an accidental Code Purple alert message regarding shots being fired. No shots were fired nor was there any other cause for alarm.
The Tarleton State University Police Department and area emergency response agencies will conduct a practice exercise beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday on the Stephenville campus.
