STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center will host spur collectors and enthusiasts at noon Nov. 5. The Hugh Edmondson Spur Collectors Gathering will celebrate the craftsmanship and culture of the American West.
The free event will also feature the museum’s newest exhibit, “Spurs and Straps: A Legacy in Metal and Leather,” which tells the life story of R.F. and Liz Ford.
Spur aficionados are invited to display, trade and share stories about their collections.

The W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center is located at 65258 Interstate 20, Exit 367, in Mingus and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
