Tarleton State University will close all facilities for winter break beginning at noon Friday, Dec. 21. Campuses and other operations will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.
Almost 150 donors kicked off the holiday season Tuesday with gifts supporting Tarleton State University students. In total, donors gave $164,173 to colleges, scholarships and student programs and activities, shattering last year’s mark of just over $26,000.
The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents authorized Tarleton State University to seek final approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to create two new graduate degree programs that will address the growing demand for professionals in geoscience and animal science.
Five Tarleton State University students took first-place honors in The Texas A&M University System’s 15th annual Pathways Student Research Symposium at West Texas A&M, and six students earned second and third place awards.
Tarleton State University will close for the Thanksgiving holiday beginning at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and reopen for normal business on Monday, Nov. 26. Several departments and facilities, however, will have modified hours to serve students during the holiday weekend.
Study Aboard Director Marilyn Robitaille will represent Tarleton State University at the National Association of International Educators Region III International Conference in Little Rock later this month.
Now in its 16th year, Tarleton State University’s Student Research & Creative Activities Symposium showcased the research and creative activities of more than 100 students in a two-day event concluding the annual Research & Scholarship Appreciation Week.
