STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s Staff Senate invites the community to attend the annual Purple & White Bazaar on Friday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center Ballrooms.
This festive event, organized by the Staff Senate, brings together the campus and community along with local artisans for a day of holiday cheer, shopping and celebration.
“The Purple & White Bazaar is designed to bring Tarleton State’s students, faculty, staff and the Stephenville community together in a spirit of collaboration and celebration,” said Staff Senate President Michele Hancock. “The bazaar is an opportunity to support local small businesses, showcase the creativity within our community, and strengthen the bonds that make Tarleton State such a special place to work and serve. I’m deeply grateful to Victoria Yancey, who has led this year’s planning with such energy and purpose, and to the Staff Senate for continuing this meaningful tradition.”
Thirty-one small business vendors from across Erath County will offer everything from Tarleton State spirit gear and handcrafted art to homemade chocolates and more.
“This year’s Staff Senate Purple & White Bazaar Committee truly hit the ground running,” said Staff Senate Bazaar Committee Chair Victoria Yancey. “I was honored to step into the role back in August, and by early October we already had our plans in place, vendor spots filled and a growing waitlist. Our committee is an enthusiastic group that loves Tarleton State, our community and of course, holiday fun.”
The Purple & White Bazaar is a cherished tradition that displays the artistry and entrepreneurial spirit of the local community while providing a joyful experience for all attendees.
“I would like to extend a sincere thank-you to our Staff Senate team and the many Tarleton State staff members who have played a vital role in bringing this event together,” added Yancey. “We can’t wait to open our doors and share a festive, memorable day with guests from near and far.”
