Longtime Texas businessman and Tarleton State University Distinguished Alumnus Mike A. Myers received an honorary doctorate of humane letters during today’s commencement ceremonies for his extraordinary contributions and service to higher education.

Regents approve $63 million for Tarleton’s second Fort Worth building

Tarleton State University could begin constructing a second building at its new Fort Worth campus as early as 2021, thanks to $63 million from The Texas A&M University System. Private funding will cover the remaining $7 million needed.

Texas A&M System regents name F. Dominic Dottavio Tarleton President Emeritus

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents today honored Dr. F. Dominic Dottavio with the title President Emeritus. He is stepping down Aug. 31 after 11 years as the 15th president of Tarleton State University.

Ribbon cutting officially opens Tarleton’s planned Fort Worth campus

After more than 40 years in Fort Worth, Tarleton State University today opened the first building of its planned campus along Chisholm Trail Parkway with a ribbon cutting, tours and remarks from community leaders, legislators and Texas A&M University System officials.

Tarleton’s Davis Hall is coming down

One of the oldest buildings at Tarleton State will be demolished beginning this week. Davis Hall, named for Tarleton’s 10th and longest serving president J. Thomas Davis (1914-1945), has heralded the front entrance to the Stephenville campus for more than 80 years.
