She puts her educational situation in other terms.
“I would say I’ve done life backward,” she says. “I have grandchildren and I’m in college.”
More than 170 donors kicked off the holiday season Tuesday with 257 gifts supporting Tarleton State University students. In total, donors gave $228,095 to benefit Tarleton colleges and student scholarships, programs and activities, shattering last year’s mark of $164,173.
Tarleton State University will confer more than 1,000 diplomas at fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 13 and 14 at Wisdom Gym on the Stephenville campus.
Tarleton State University planetarium’s most popular holiday show The Mystery of the Christmas Star runs Dec. 5-19, investigating possible dates for the birth of Christ and looking at recorded sightings of significant astronomical events during this timeframe.
Tarleton State University will close for the Thanksgiving holiday beginning at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and reopen for normal business on Monday, Dec. 2. Several departments and facilities, however, will have modified hours to serve students during the holiday weekend.
