In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Tarleton State University administrative offices are closed Monday, Jan. 18.

One of the fastest growing regional universities in the country and the state’s sixth largest independent school district cemented an agreement Tuesday evening as a prototype to boost post-secondary education nationwide.

Sixteen Tarleton State University healthcare professionals and law enforcement officers received COVID-19 vaccinations Thursday thanks to Lake Granbury Medical Center. Those who received the vaccine are part of the CDC’s first priority group, designated as essential workers, and some are high risk.

Included in the federal coronavirus relief package passed in December is more than $22 billion for higher education. For Tarleton State University, that means extra help for students financially impacted by COVID-19 and assistance with institutional expenses incurred because of the pandemic.

A $750,000 grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board will help Tarleton State University boost workers displaced by COVID-19 and assist students who stopped short of completing their undergraduate degree.

Tarleton State University Wednesday finalized the purchase of the Bosque Crossing Apartments, within walking distance from the Stephenville campus across West Vanderbilt Street.

Tarleton State University’s storied rodeo team has a new home on the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in the heart of the “Cowboy Capital.” The announcement was made this afternoon during a celebration for rodeo athletes following the school’s participation in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association National Finals Rodeo in Arlington last week.
