Dr. Tom Tallach, head of the Department of Sport Science in Tarleton State University’s School of Kinesiology, has been elected chair of the Sport Management section of the Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (TAHPERD).
It was purple table linens that initially drew Heather Bushart to Tarleton State University. She’ll be surrounded by purple as she graduates with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with an emphasis on public relations and event management with Upper Level Honors.
Dr. Kelsey McEntyre, assistant professor of sport science in Tarleton State University’s School of Kinesiology, has been elected chair of the Assessment and Evaluation section of the Texas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (TAHPERD).
In fact, she is headed to West Texas A&M University to teach others about it.
First though, she will graduate with her master’s degree focused in soil science and make the keynote address at Tarleton State University commencement exercises at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, at Wisdom Gym in Stephenville.
Beginning with the 2020-21 school year, Tarleton State University will provide up to $34,000 in scholarships annually and guarantee admission to Alvarado High School seniors who graduate in the top 25 percent of their class.
Tarleton State University has named Lori Beaty chief financial officer and vice president for the Division of Finance and Administration. She has served in an interim role since September.
Blake Dorsett credits his faith for turning his life around.
He came to Tarleton State University on academic probation and graduates in a few days with a 3.9 GPA and a degree in international business. He will share his life message as the keynote speaker at commencement exercises at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Wisdom Gym on the Stephenville campus.
