Resource Day for Veterans, Military Families Planned in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas — Tarleton State University’s Division of Global, Community and First-gen Initiatives, the Division of External Operations and United Way of Tarrant County will collaborate for United in Service, a special day honoring and supporting veterans and military families.

The free event is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, on Tarleton State’s Fort Worth campus at 10850 Texan Rider Drive.

United in Service will feature interactive breakout sessions, a resource fair, family-friendly activities, workforce and education support, and free professional headshots.

The function will bring together trusted partners to support veterans and military-connected families through education and degree pathways, workforce development, career services, credentialing opportunities, and family and community resources.

Guests may choose from a variety of workshops that enable them to take the next steps to begin or continue their degree, credentials or other opportunities that support long-term success.
