Tarleton State University’s Texan Theatre freshmen cohort will take center stage in a performance showcase at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center. Selections include numbers from “The Book of Mormon,” “Sondheim on Sondheim,” “Wicked,” “West Side Story” and other musical theater classics.
“The 2026 Musical Theatre Showcase is a production of big voices, bold performances and one unforgettable night,” said John Greer, an assistant professor of dance and theater in the Department of Performing Arts. “We welcome all to celebrate live performances and student artistry.”
Greer leads the production as choreographer and musical director. This year’s showcase is the second since its debut last year. Performers include freshmen and upperclassmen musical theater majors.
