STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University recognized six faculty and four staff members for their achievements and service Tuesday night at its annual Faculty and Staff Awards Banquet.
STEPEHNVILLE, Texas — The audited numbers are in, and Tarleton State University’s third Giving Day raised $395,780 to pay it forward for students. That’s impressive considering this year’s gifts exceed the 2017 total by more than $170,000.

During the early 20th century, Daniel B. McMillin moved his family of eight to a farm in Erath County just so his six children could attend college at Tarleton. When his middle daughter, Glynda, graduated from high school in 1930, McMillin went to the bank and borrowed $100 to fund her two years at Tarleton, where she studied home economics.
