Meador family endows second scholarship in honor of Daniel B. McMillin

During the early 20th century, Daniel B. McMillin moved his family of eight to a farm in Erath County just so his six children could attend college at Tarleton. When his middle daughter, Glynda, graduated from high school in 1930, McMillin went to the bank and borrowed $100 to fund her two years at Tarleton, where she studied home economics.

SSC Services donates scholarship for Tarleton engineering students

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — As part of Tarleton State University’s annual Giving Day, SSC Services for Education donated $5,000 this morning to fund two scholarships for engineering and engineering technology students.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — True to its mission of improving the quality and results of education for all Texas students, the Texas Pioneer Foundation today increased its endowed scholarship at Tarleton State University another $20,000 in concert with the school’s annual Giving Day.
