
First-time Freshmen Applicants
If you are about to graduate or have already graduated from high school or have received your GED and have not attended a post-secondary institution for one long semester (i.e. fall or spring) after high school, then you are considered a first-time freshman.

Freshmen applicants are categorized into one of the following classifications. Please review special requirements for your classification:
High School Applicants
First-time freshman who has graduated from a Texas public high school, a Texas non-public school accredited by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission, or an out-of-state public or private high school.

GED/HiSET/TASC (High School Equivalency Diploma) Applicants
First-time freshman who did not graduate from high school and has a high school equivalency diploma.

Homeschool Applicants
First-time freshman entering Tarleton directly from a Texas high school not accredited by the Texas Education Agency or Texas Private School Accreditation Commission, who has been homeschooled.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Applicants
First-time freshman entering Tarleton directly from a Texas public high school accredited by the Texas Education Agency or a Texas non-public school accredited by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission.
