
We are delighted to announce the newest member of our team, Dr. Andy Wolfe. Dr. Wolfe will be joining as the new Assistant Vice President for Research Development within the Division of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (RIED).
With more than a decade of higher education and research experience, as well as service at Tarleton State, Dr. Wolfe has built a proven record of advancing research development, faculty success and strategic growth.
His tenure at Tarleton State has enabled him to gain deep institutional knowledge and cultivate well-established relationships that are critical for advancing research development. In his previous role as Department Head, Laboratory Director and Associated Professor, he oversaw the creation and delivery of several academic degree programs, conducted and completed multiple research projects, and facilitated numerous interdisciplinary and interinstitutional collaborations; furthermore, he supported the pursuit of various extramural funding opportunities.
Dr. Wolfe’s leadership and institutional familiarity reflect his commitment and capacity to create sustainable research infrastructure, mentor emerging scholars and align academic priorities with funding opportunities to strengthen institutional impact.
As the newly hired Assistant Vice President for Research Development, Dr. Wolfe will be responsible for growing and broadening extramurally funded research and research development programs. He will be driving research funding initiatives, lead training workshops, provide grant writing sources, etc. Dr. Wolfe will also work diligently to identify strategic federal and foundation funding opportunities, while providing support to faculty and student research. Dr. Wolfe will be an essential member of the team to help RIED excel in research development.
