STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University raised nearly $550,000 from over 500 gifts during the second annual Giving Week from March 31 to April 4.
Thanks to the significant generosity of supporters, the amount raised represented a nearly 90% increase from the 2024 total.
Impacts for Giving Week will touch all corners of the university, including the Tarleton Alumni Association, each academic college, Texan athletics and many other areas.
“A sincere thank you to the over 500 donors who personified all that it means to Be a Texan during Giving Week,” said Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of the Tarleton State University Foundation Tony Vidmar. “This incredible response speaks to the remarkable passion and support for our institution.”
For those wishing to add to the impact of Giving Week, joining the Texan Excellence Fund offers the most immediate opportunity for impact. The unique platform offers donors the chance to select their preferred designation, to include the Tarleton Alumni Association and to be rewarded with stewardship that matches the full value of their contribution.

“The response to Giving Week this year matches our dedication to expanding our donor base and engaging a broader percentage of our alumni community,” added Vidmar. “It also reflects the role of the Texan Excellence Fund and the incentives it offers to come forward and participate in our continued rise. Behind visionary leadership, we are ascending quickly, and our growth depends on continued and expanded support from alumni, parents, friends, and supporters.”
