Tarleton State University Testing Centers

Tarleton State University Testing Centers welcomes you to test with us. We are an approved national testing site with partnerships with Pearson Vue and Scantron (formerly Castle Worldwide). Professional certification, licensure, and entry level exams are available to TSU students and the community. We welcome the opportunity to offer a professional testing environment for your testing needs.

The Tarleton Testing Centers are specialized testing centers that can administer over 4,600 different types of exams including certification exams (e.g., Teacher’s Certification), placement exams (e.g., TSI, Language Placement Exams), and disability-related accommodated exams. We can also administer non-accommodated make-up exams during specific days/times of the week.

The Testing Centers will provide students with the appropriate contact information if/when questions or concerns arise unrelated to exam administration.

All testers must present a valid, non-expired, driver’s license, passport, student ID or other government-issued photo identification on test day. Each exam has its own identification requirements which will be communicated to the tester via e-mail prior to test day. In most (but not all) instances a Tarleton Student ID is acceptable for placement exams.

The Testing Centers will provide scratch paper and pencil(s) to testers when the exam instructions allow us to. No testing material including scratch paper can be removed from the Testing Center, unless prior approval is made.

Cell Phones/Academic Dishonesty Policy: Cell phones are strictly prohibited within the testing rooms. Each testing center has lockers in which testers can secure their cell phones and other belongings. A tester found with a cell phone or other prohibited items in a testing room will be asked to immediately end their exam and the testing center will follow the steps laid out in its academic dishonesty policy.

Late Policy: We will do our best to administer all scheduled tests, but we may need to reschedule a test if a tester is more than 10 minutes late.

24 Hour Cancellation Policy: Because appointments are in high demand, if for any reason a tester needs to cancel or change their appointment, it is important that they give our office at least 24 hours’ notice. Any changes or cancellations to scheduled appointments must be done at least 24 business hours in advance to be eligible for a refund. If eligible for a refund, a $3.50 processing fee will be subtracted from the refund.
