Ethics Analysis
For the BBA programs, students were assessed on the ethics outcome in BUSI 4359 and BCIS 4350 during the fall semester of 2021 with two separate measures. Measure 1 (n=322) was an objective assessment delivered through Canvas mapped to a five-item ethics rubric. Measure 2 (n=116) was an objective measure collected from the CAPSIM simulation in BUSI 4359. The target for measure 1 was 75% of students scoring 75% or better on the overall assessment and 66% or better on each individual item. The target for measure 2 was 50% of students will meet or exceed the Capsim population average of 58%. The aggregated results for measure 1 indicated that 67% met the target. And while the Tarleton student average was higher than the Capsim population average (62%), the aggregated results for measure 2 indicated that 60% of the BBA students met the target.

On measure 1, students tended to perform best on the Identifies stakeholders and predicts consequences to stakeholders item, with 91% meeting the target. Students tended to have the most difficulty with the Knows ethical decision-making frameworks item, with 37% meeting the target.
As indicated in the results tables, the results were similar across all locations where the program is available. Following is a list of locations, the number of students assessed, and the percent of students that met the target for measure 1: Stephenville, 131, 68%; Fort Worth, 103, 64%; Midlothian, 11, 73%; Online, 22, 73%; Waco, 55, 68%.
Following is a list of locations, the number of students assessed, and the percent of students that met the target for measure 2: Stephenville, 41, 61%; Fort Worth, 44, 57%; Midlothian, 6, 67%; Online, 11, 61%; Waco, 14, 61%. Not all of the targets were met for this outcome so an action plan will be developed and implemented in Fall 2022 to improve student learning for the ethics outcome.

Global Analysis
For the BBA programs, students were assessed on the global outcome in BUSI 4359 and BCIS 4350 during the fall semester of 2021 with two separate measures. Measure 1 (n=323) was an objective assessment delivered through Canvas mapped to the eight-item global rubric. Measure 2 (n=116) was an objective measure collected from the CAPSIM simulation in BUSI 4359. The target for measure 1 was 75% of students scoring 75% or better on the overall assessment and 100% or better on each individual item. The target for measure 2 was 50% of students will meet or exceed the Capsim population average of 68%. The aggregated results for measure 1 indicated that 44% met the target. Aggregated results for measure 2 indicated that 28% met the target. On measure 1, students tended to perform best on the reasons why firms conduct business abroad item, with 88% meeting the target. Students tended to have the most difficulty with the roles of international organizations and trade agreements item, with 39% meeting the target.
As indicated in the results table, the results were similar across all locations where the program is available. Technology Analysis
For the BBA program, 268 students were assessed on the technology outcome in BUSI 4359 and BCIS 4350 during the fall semester of 2021 using a single measure. The measure was an objective assessment delivered through Canvas mapped to a six-item technology rubric. The target for the measure was 75% of students scoring 75 or better on the assessment. The aggregated results indicated that 53% met the target. Students tended to perform best on the Demonstrates the ability to correctly identify and use standard computer hardware item, with 100% meeting the target. Students tended to have the most difficulty with the Demonstrates an ability to navigate and utilize features of software item, with 28% meeting the target.
As indicated in the results table, the results were similar across all locations where the program is available. Following is a list of locations, the number of students assessed, and the percent of students that met the target: Stephenville, 122, 56%; Fort Worth, 98, 49%; Midlothian, 11, 45%; Online, 17, 56%; Waco, 42, 56%. Not all of the targets were met for this outcome so an action plan will be developed and implemented in Fall 2022 to improve student learning for the technology outcome.
