Students are strongly encouraged to schedule regular appointments with advisors for questions concerning, but not limited to:

  • Application and admission requirements
  • Background course completion
  • Degree requirements
  • Policies and procedures
  • Probation & suspension
  • Other general advising questions and concerns

While the advisors are here to help you with your application and admission requirement questions, leveling requirements, degree requirements, etc., Program Coordinators are here to share with you guidance and direction regarding your program:

  • Mentoring Program’s Students on Job Prospects and Thesis options
  • Approving course substitutions and transfer courses
  • Deciding on suspension appeals
  • Suggesting, reviewing, and/or defending curriculum changes at various committee meetings
  • Marketing and promoting the program
  • Overseeing assessment processes for the program
  • Coordinating discussions with program faculty for creating, reviewing, and documenting various policies and promotional materials
  • Approving published program admission requirements and materials produced by COGs.
