Am I considered a Transfer Student?
- Have you completed a college course(s) after high school graduation? (If you completed a college course(s) in the summer immediately following high school graduation/GED completion and are applying for the immediate fall semester, you are considered a freshman.).
If you answered yes to this question, then you are considered a transfer student!

Requirements for Admission
The following requirements must be met:
- Submit an application for admission
- Be in good standing at Tarleton or any other college or university attended
- Meet the cumulative GPA requirements:

| 2.25 | 12- 23 transferrable credits | No | Stephenville and Fort Worth campuses |
| 2.00 | 1-23 transferrable credits (plus meet high school requirements) | No | Stephenville and Fort Worth campuses |
*Beginning fall 2026, a ‘TSI complete’ status will not be required.
Requirements are subject to changes as outlined by the Academic Standards Committee.
You must be eligible to enroll at all previously attended institutionally accredited institutions and submit official transcripts.
What is considered transferable credit?
Transferable credit is college-level academic credit completed at an institutionally accredited institution. Credits considered developmental, remedial, technical, or vocational will not transfer for admission purposes. Students wishing to utilize technical or vocational courses should consult an advisor.
