Simplifying the Application Process for Tarleton Today Students
As part of the Tarleton Today program, you’ve already started your journey with Tarleton State. We want to continue that by offering you something a little extra. You’ve got access to a faster, easier path to apply for Tarleton State this fall.
Instead of completing the full application, you can use a shortened supplemental application built just for Tarleton Today students, and your application fee is waived. All you need to do is submit the form, and we’ll review your eligibility for direct admission.
Admission Requirements
Students participating in the Tarleton Today program may earn automatic admission through successful completion of their Tarleton State coursework. If students do not meet the Tarleton State hours and GPA, their record will be evaluated using the first-time freshman requirements.

Students must request their high school sends their official transcript to us. We accept official transcripts via the following methods:

Tarleton State Direct Admission Application Steps
Complete your Supplemental Application
Incoming students will receive an email sent to their personal email address with a link to the Tarleton State direct admission supplemental application. You will need to use your NTNET credentials to log in and complete your supplemental application.

Scholarships are awarded for academic ability and achievement, demonstrated leadership, ability to perform (music, band, etc.), extracurricular activities, financial need, and other criteria as defined by specific scholarship programs.

What is Tarleton Today?
Tarleton Today is an affordable dual enrollment program through Tarleton State University that allows high school students to take college-level courses and earn credit early.
Will these credits count toward my college degree?
Yes! Credits earned are from Tarleton State University and may transfer to other colleges and universities depending on the institution or degree plan.
Am I considered a freshman or a transfer student because I already have college credits?
Students who have earned college credits before graduating from high school (AP or Dual Credits) or have taken classes immediately after graduating from high school (during the summer) are also considered FTIC new students, regardless of earned credit hours.
When should I apply for housing?
The Fall 2027 housing application will open soon. Check back here and keep an eye on your email for details!
What are my next steps to apply for admission?
There is a shortened application for Tarleton Today students as well as no application fee, making the admissions process easy to navigate.
Do I need to submit a transcript for my Tarleton State dual-enrolled courses?
No, but please submit an official high school transcript for both admissions and scholarship opportunities.
How do I register for classes?
After being admitted, you’ll attend an orientation where advisors will help you select and register for your courses based on your degree plan.

Complete your FAFSA, review your financial aid package, and explore our general scholarship application or payment plans. Tarleton State’s financial aid office is available to help you understand your options.
