Student Success
The Division of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (RIED) is dedicated to preparing the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. By connecting students with the regional startup ecosystem, we provide hands-on opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to real-world commercial challenges, ensuring Tarleton graduates are ready to lead in a technology-driven economy.
Student Internships
Through a strategic partnership with TechFW, a premier technology incubator in North Central Texas, Tarleton State University offers a unique internship program designed for students interested in the intersection of technology and business.
Selected students are matched with TechFW client companies—high-growth startups at the forefront of fields like biotechnology, engineering, and software development. Interns complete a 150-hour immersion, gaining a front-row seat to the challenges and triumphs of launching a new technology. Throughout the process participants will build direct connections with founders, investors, and mentors within the TechFW ecosystem, expanding their professional network beyond Tarleton State University.
