Spring 2026 Check-Out – Close-Down: Student Guidelines
1. Important Dates
- Residence Halls Close: Thursday, May 7, 2026 by 10:00 a.m.
- Request for Late Stay: To request a late stay, residents will complete the Late Stay Request form found on the student housing portal. Late stays are for residents staying past May 7th at 10 AM, but not past May 11th at 10 AM.
- Residence Halls Reopen Fall 2026: Monday, August 17, 2026
2. Before You Leave – Review the closedown form on front door of room
Complete checklist for students:
- Clean Your Room & Bathroom: All belongings, remove trash, perishable food disposed, and personal items.
- Close Blinds: Blinds are closed
- Set Thermostat: 70 degrees – Auto – Cool Settings
- Lock Doors: Ensure all doors and windows are locked.
3. Mail & Packages
- Forward mail if needed.
- Pick up packages before departure.
4. Safety & Security
- Report maintenance issues before leaving.
- Do not leave valuables behind.
5. Travel Tips
- Plan transportation early.
- Check weather conditions.
