Submit Final High School Transcript

  • Students must request their high school send their official transcript to us. We accept official transcripts electronically via TREX (Texas high schools only), eScrip using the email provided below, Overgrad, Greenlight, and Parchment/Naviance. Transcripts can also be mailed from your high school in a sealed envelope directly to Tarleton State University!

Submit Final College/Dual Credit Transcript (if applicable)

  • Students must request for their dual credit transcript(s) to be sent to us. Please complete a request at all colleges and/or universities you attended. Dual credit is only awarded from the official college transcript.

Submit Official AP/CLEP/IBO Scores (if applicable)

  • All scores must be sent directly from the College Board for evaluation
  • CLEP has offered exams at a fraction of the price of a college course, saving you hundreds of dollars.
  • AP gives students the chance to tackle college-level work while they’re still in high school—whether they’re learning online or in the classroom. And through taking AP Exams, students can earn college credit and placement.

Submit Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Record

All students under the age of 22 are required to submit their Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination record when entering an institution of higher education. Evidence of vaccination is to be submitted through Med+Proctor, you will use you Tarleton student email to register. Vaccination record must be submitted 10 days prior to the first day of class.

Apply for Housing

Living on-campus enhances your college experience. Make new friends, become part of a community, and improve personal success along the way. Tarleton requires new incoming students (freshman) and transfer students with less than 12 credit hours to live on campus for one year. In order to secure the residence hall you want, apply for housing by January 15th.

Register for Texan Orientation

At Texan Orientation all incoming students have the chance to meet with an advisor and register for their classes. Students will also learn about the three-step transition plan for new students. This event is required for all incoming students.

Pay Tuition

Texan Bill Pay allows students to view account statements and pay tuition and fee bills for Tarleton State University online. This online service includes payment deadlines, detailed account information for each term you were registered at Tarleton, schedule future payments, and many more.

Move-In / Transition Week

An exciting time at Tarleton! Attend move in and T-week to kickstart your college career. T-WEEK is mandatory for all incoming freshmen and is an opportunity to get acquainted with campus, college life, and residential hall living! Be on the lookout for your move-in schedule that will be sent to your email and the dates of T-week.

Attend Duck Camp

Duck Camp… We Love It!! At Tarleton’s three-day, two-night experience for incoming freshman, students are able to connect with peers and student leaders. Students will participate in team building sessions, leadership activities, Tarleton tradition sessions, water activities, and more! Be sure to check which Duck Camp dates work best for you!

Complete Financial Aid Application (FASFA or TASFA)

PRIORITY DATE: JANUARY 15
Financial aid is a great way to help you pay for college. Several types of financial aid are available to students and families that cover educational expenses and make college more affordable. Student financial aid can be awarded based on merit or need or both, and some financial aid for college is required to be paid back or earned while others are gifts and don’t need to be repaid. Our financial aid office is available to help talk you through your options!

Complete & Submit Scholarship Application

PRIORITY DATE: February 15
When you complete the online general scholarship application, your one application will be considered for over $7 million in Tarleton scholarship awards!! This scholarship opens August 1st each year, apply as soon as possible to have the best chance of earning a scholarship. Tarleton is committed to helping you find financial resources to help pay for college as you pursue and achieve your educational dreams and goals.
