Library Hours
The Dick Smith library in Stephenville offers services 106 hours per week and has a 24-hour zone available to everyone with a vaild Tarleton ID card, while the Rickett library is open 71.5 hours weekly. Both Libraries offer access to print collections, reference assistance, circulation services, study rooms, computer workstations, and more.
In addition, the Tarleton libraries offer 24/7 access to online resources like the library catalog, databases, online books, and electronic periodicals, as well as online service like checkout renewals, reference email, research tip sheets, interlibrary loan, course reserves, etc.
Library hours vary during University holidays, intersessions, and final exam periods. Updated schedules are posted on the library’s website and the University Calendar.

Summer Semester
- Monday – Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Thursday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

24-hour zone is available to those with a valid Tarleton ID. Service at the Circulation Desk stops 15 minutes before library services closes.
