Graduate Student Resources

Below is detailed information on graduate student resources to aid in your success at Tarleton. We are here for you if you have questions.

Signing Into MyGateway

The myGateway system is where you will register for courses. It can take up to 24 hours for an account to be activated in the system, so if you have issues logging in after that timeframe, please contact the Tarleton Help Desk to reset your pin.

*If you are a former Tarleton student, please visit the Former Student myGateway Login to access the system.

Graduate Scholarships

Review the graduate scholarship listing for more information on both institutional and private scholarship opportunities for Tarleton graduate students.

Don’t forget to complete the General Scholarship Application each academic year to become eligible for available Tarleton scholarships.

Financial Aid

To determine your eligibility for financial aid, you need to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The likelihood of receiving some form of financial assistance is probably better than most students and their families anticipate.

For more information, please visit the financial aid website

*Tarleton’s FAFSA school code is 003631.

Degree Advising and Course Registration

You will need to speak to your program advisor about which courses to register for. Your advisor should also help you map out a degree plan for program completion based on when courses are offered. It’s a good idea to touch base with your program advisor at least once a semester.

Once course registration opens, you can use the MyGateway system to add/drop courses.

View and Pay Your Bill

You must pay your tuition and fees before the deadline listed in the university calendar. Failure to pay by the deadline will result in being dropped from all of your registered courses.

Payments can be made in person or online in Texan Bill Pay through DuckTrax. Please visit the Business Services website for more information on tuition and fees.

You may pay your bill in full or sign up for a payment plan where you will pay off your balance over the course of the semester. Learn more about payment plans

Graduate Assistantships

Many positions are available for graduate students on campus, including graduate assistantships. While working toward your graduate degree, we encourage you to look for part-time jobs or internships in your field of study. To become a graduate assistant, you must:

The library offers a large online database of books, articles, and academic journals, which can be accessed 24 hours a day from on or off-campus locations. You can visit the library’s website for research help and talk with a librarian to get all of your questions answered in real-time.
