CARES provides leadership and enterprise-wide collaboration in an effort to strengthen accountability, manage significant risk, uphold a safe and healthy environment for our university communities, and promote compliance with federal and state law.
University Compliance is committed to developing programs to assist faculty, staff and visitors in being aware of required federal, state and institutional policy, regulations and rules.
To ensure the university’s compliance with these requirements, it is imperative that Tarleton State University’s Office of University Compliance be notified of upcoming audits, the outcome of audits, and prior to engaging auditing services for a third-party audit or review.
Risk Management encompasses emergency planning, enterprise risk, insurance, and works comp.
Tarleton State's Live Green program dedicates itself to serving as a responsible steward of the environment. It consequently commits to advocating environmental awareness, safety, and action; to respect and promote the health, safety and well-being of all Tarleton constituents; and to continuously improve the management of our natural resources.
Safety Programs include Lab Safety, Hazardous Waste Management, Agriculture Safety, Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, and other related programs.
