The Symphonic Band performs a varied repertoire of band music ranging from standard band literature to world premieres of new music.

The Symphonic Band has been guest conducted by Frank Ticheli, Samuel Hazo, Jonathan D. Alvis and David Holsinger. Frequently Tarleton State University Music Education majors have the opportunity to guest conduct the band as student conductors or perform within the band on secondary instruments.

Symphonic Band membership is open to all Tarleton students, regardless of major field of study, with permission of the director. Prior band experience is expected.
